Mathew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Our Purpose: To provide a means by which believers can encourage and assist one another in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20) and to provide Christian love and service, both spiritual and material, to all people. Overall, our main purpose is to create disciples.

Statement of beliefs: The complete Bible (Old & New Testaments) is our only authority in matters of faith, lifestyle, and government. (2 Timothy 3: 16-17) We cherish and defend religious liberty, and deny the right of any secular or religious authority to impose a confession of faith upon a church or body of churches.

Worship Services: These are our designated times to meet with God and give him the honor and praise He deserves for everything that He does for us. We worship the LORD through song and have a message which is centered on Scripture. We want everyone to understand that they are free to worship the LORD at the First Church of Wellston without feeling like they are being judged or looked down upon. We welcome all to come and worship with us. Our prayer is always that you won't leave like you came, in Jesus' name!

Youth Church: Childcare is provided for younger children. Once every three months our youth will conduct a regular Sunday morning worship service. We know that it is vital to train up our children in the way that they should go so that when they are old they will not depart from it.

Schedule:
  • Sunday Morning Worship - 11 AM
  • Sunday Evening Worship - 6 PM
  • Wednesday Evening Worship - 7 PM
  • Wednesday Youth Group - 7 PM
Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
Psalm 150: 6
Sunday School : Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. During the first 15 minutes all groups meet together in the sanctuary for singing and Bible drills (the children can win prizes for this). When that is completed, we go to our classes and study the Bible and have a lot of fun doing it. Our Sunday School classes are currently divided into age groups.

Classes are divided as follows:
  • Pre-K
  • 1st - 3rd Grade
  • 4th - 6th Grade
  • 7th - 12th Grade
  • Adult Class
Youth Ministry: Our youth are very important to us. We know that they are not only the church of tomorrow, but are valuable today and if we are not equipping them to take over where we leave off, we are failing them. We know how important they are to the future and we want them to realize just how important they are as well. We want them to know that there is a better way to live and that carrying the message of Christ on to the next generation is vital.

On Sunday mornings there is a nursery available for those children too young to participate in worship service. All children are encouraged to participate in regular worship services on Sunday mornings and Sunday Evenings. Youth groups meet on Wednesday evenings.

We have a youth group at the First Church of Wellston:
  •  Ages 9 + (Wed. - 4 PM)
  • Nusery Care - Ages 0 - 9 (Wed. - 7 PM)
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22: 6
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18: 4
